Faculty Profile: Tonya Austin

Tonya J. Austin brings more than 16 years of experience to the table when representing a large and diverse client base by helping those clients achieve sophisticated business goals. She focuses her practice on counseling clients through real estate development and zoning issues, and aiding clients in resolving complex business and real estate disputes. She is practical, focused and brings a sense of calm and order to the often complex and conflicting world of land use, entitlements/assessments, and real estate development matters. She and her law partner, Josh Denton, formed Denton Austin PLC in 2022, to focus on serving their clients’ needs in these areas within a boutique law firm setting.
 
Tonya is a graduate of the University of North Alabama (B.A. 2004) and the University of Dayton School of Law (J.D. 2007). She is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. She lives with her husband and two sons in Brentwood, where she is active in the local chamber, Williamson, Inc.
