Elder Law Forum 2014 (Day 1 - Intermediate)

Description: This day and a half forum offers insights for both the “new to elder law” attorney and those with more experience. On Day One, certified elder law attorneys from across the state share their knowledge of basics needed for counseling senior clients with a focus on Medicare coverage and options, hot topics in Medicare. Day One also includes a thorough overview of TennCare CHOICES eligibility, rules for financial qualification, and commonly used spend-down strategies.

Some of the highlights of Day 1 include:
- Elder Care Continuum
- Paying for Health Care and Acute Long-Term Care (LTC)
- Financial Eligibility for CHOICES

The second day will open with a subject for both beginners and busy elder law practitioners: an in-depth view of medical eligibility for TennCare CHOICES from a leading authority in the state, and much more.
