Recently, several Tennesseans and citizens of Kentucky and West Virginia have died while handling poisonous snakes during religious ceremonies that have their roots in Appalachia. This presentation will explore the challenges faced by private and public sector attorney alike who may be called upon to litigate matters involving the First Amendment and beyond.
