Construction Law

Construction Law: Retainage Payment Issues and Protections 2014

Description:

Payment for a construction project is very different from the typical consumer transaction. Withholding retainage from the contractors earned monies is commonly accepted given the nature of construction contracts and the inherent financial risks involved. The questions, which are often raised by the parties to the construction contract by the owner and the contractor, will be discussed during this session. The speaker will apply these good practices toward our hypothetical commercial and residential projects.
