Description: This year’s program has a cast of experts and nationally recognized speakers. The TBA’s Disability Law Section is honored to host Debra Shifrin, current President of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR) who will discuss current issues and recent changes/events in Social Security Law.

Other speakers include DDS Director and Attorney Tamra Smith who will discuss effective representation before the Disability Determination Section which is a growing area of practice in Social Security. Then attendees will hear from David Ettinger, who practiced Social Security Law for 28 years at Legal Aid of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands. David’s practice focused on impact litigation in particular the Samuels v. Heckler class action. David is now an administrative law judge at Nashville ODAR. Two experts, Mike Williamson and Eric Buchanan, will discuss new issues in cross-examining Vocational experts (Williamson) and Attorney Fees (Buchanan).
