Description: The session will review recent legislation and other attempts to address issues relating to intellectual property online, and the response to these measures from online users of protected content. We will consider the strengths and weaknesses of both sides arguments in light of the U.S Copyright Act. Topics will include the Stop Online Piracy Act, the Righthaven lawsuits, the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, and the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement.
